Job Description:

Join Port Moresby Nature Park PNG’s premier recreational attraction dedicated to inspiring the guardianship of PNG’s natural environment.

We are seeking for a Qualified Graphic Artist to join our high performing Marketing Team to contribute ideas and develop Scientific illustrations (zoological and botanical), the preparation of art-files and materials for informational, operational, interpretive, and educational signs, exhibits, and displays, as well as posters, maps, pamphlets, brochures and /or any other graphics as requested, using graphics software or by hand.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the creation of all design work including Park signage, marketing, promotional and educational materials, all in adherence to our brand guideline.
  • Contribution of ideas and designs for development of the POM Nature Park brand, educational messaging and promotional items.
  • Conducts regular audits of Nature Park signs & coordinates replacement of aged or damaged signs.
  • Liaises with printing houses and suppliers for the production of graphic materials from start to finish
  • Manages the creation of new signage projects from branding, concept formation through to production

Job Requirements:

  • Skills required for the position:
  • Advance knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
  • Having knowledge and experience on video editing, photography, web design and/or events management
  • Proven track record of high performance within a brand / design role
  • Willingness to learn the latest interpretative strategies and messaging from overseas zoo partners
  • Reliable team player with good time management and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Must be reliable, hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic
  • Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree (Art & Design) or equivalent
  • Min 2 years’ plus experience within a design or brand role

This position is open to PNG Nationals who are residing in Port Moresby with their own accommodation and ability to get to work.
