New Britain Oil Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of the Slime Darby Group) is the leading producer of Certified Sustainable Palm Oil in the Pacific Islands managing over 101, 000 hectares of oil palm, beef cattle and sugar across its operations in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and the Solomons Islands.
We are looking for qualified talents to join us in our West New Britain Operations for the following position:
Assistant Mill Manager (Kumbango Oil Mill)

Job Purpose

To ensure in overall optimum mill operations, mill performances in producing good quality end products at all times. This also includes taking care of workforce’s welfare and grievances as per the company regulations. Mill vicinity, Mill compound and executive compound upkeeps and monitoring mill aid post operations. The position will report to the Mill Manager.

Job Requirements

Selection Criteria:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering from a recognized University
  2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in Palm Oil Miling.
  3. Solid experience in steam boiler, steam turbine and diesel gensets
  4. Excellent communications skills
  5. Effective Situational Leadership
  6. Conversant in the use of SAP Systems
  7. Computer Literature (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point)
  8. Experience in handling engineering project work will be advantage
  9. Good knowledge in RSPO, SAN and GMP +B2 audits, filing documentation will be an advantage
