Admin Assistant/Driver (Lae/Pom/Kiunga)

Reporting to the Corporate Services Coordinator, this role is responsible for the provision of transportation and administration support

Key Responsibilities
  • Day to day transportation of staff, visitors and deliveries
  • Undertake basic vehicle maintenance, raising any issues that cannot be rectified
  • Undertake cleaning of vehicles on a regular basis
  • Ensure proper handling and completion of all vehicles and freight movement between project locations
  • Assist Support Services and Finance Coordinator to collect quotations, invoices and goods
  • Assist with delivery of payments to suppliers and service providers
  • Assist Support Services and Finance Coordinator with logistics filing
  • Assist with field team data collection during field visits
Skills, experience, and Qualification
  • 3+ years of driving roles
  • Class 3 or 6 driving license
  • Good communication skills both in English and Tok-Pisin
  • Basic motor vehicle mechanic experience and knowledge
  • Organise and plan activities and complete tasks in a safe and timely manner
  • Flexible, able to respond to changing situations and make adjustments
  • Able to work effectively and calmly in a high pressure work environment
  • Gr 10 certificate
  • Self-motivated, confident and work harmoniously in a cross cultural environment
  • Willingness to spend extended periods of time in the field and work/travel over weekends, when required
